At Tellico Woodworks, every cabinet, trim detail, and custom-built feature reflects more than 40 years of hands-on craftsmanship and an unwavering commitment to quality. Our story isn’t about mass production or cutting corners — it’s about creating lasting woodwork that’s made with pride, skill, and care.

Based in Tellico Plains, TN, we proudly serve homeowners and businesses across East Tennessee with custom cabinetry, finish carpentry, and commercial millwork — designed and built one piece at a time.

The Story Behind Tellico Woodworks

A Passion Born in a Wood Shop

Our founder’s journey began back in 1983 in a high school wood shop class — a place where curiosity turned into passion, and passion grew into purpose. That first spark of creativity ignited a lifelong pursuit of craftsmanship.

What started as a love for shaping raw wood into functional pieces eventually led to working in diverse cabinet shops, learning everything from traditional joinery to modern fabrication techniques. Over the next 13 years, our experience expanded to include high-end woodworking projects for hotels, restaurants, and corporate offices — where precision and durability were non-negotiable.

From Commercial Mastery to Custom Homes

By 1996, Robert Swanson had officially taken root. What began as a small workshop evolved into a thriving custom cabinetry business known for exceptional quality, honest service, and deep respect for the wood itself.

Today, we continue to design and build custom kitchens, bars, fireplace mantels, doors, trim, and entertainment centers for both residential and commercial clients. Our work blends form and function — delivering beauty, durability, and personalization in every detail.

We believe true quality can’t be rushed. Every piece is made with precision and attention to detail.

Custom Means Custom

No templates. No shortcuts. Every cabinet, mantel, or trim design is unique to your space and vision.

Integrity Matters

We deliver what we promise, communicate clearly, and treat your project like it’s our own.

Local and Proud

We're rooted in Tellico Plains and dedicated to serving our neighbors with honesty and care.

Meet the Craftsman

With a hands-on approach and over four decades of experience, our lead craftsman (and founder) still oversees each project that leaves the shop. From concept sketches to final installation, his fingerprints are on every board, joint, and finish.

This dedication ensures every project meets the same high standards we’ve upheld for decades — and why clients continue to trust us with their homes and businesses.
